We hold in our prayers all who are affected and displaced by the wildfires across our region and Province at this time, and especially our nearest communities and neighbouring parishes at the heart of the Bald Range wildfire: St Margaret in Peachland, St Stephen in Summerland, and St Saviour in Penticton. We pray for all who are in danger and all who are serving on the frontlines in fighting the fires and in caring for the well-being of people of animals.

O God, our refuge and strength, our help in times of trouble.
Guard all who are fighting the fires,
protect those who stand at the ready to evacuate houses,
comfort those who have been displaced, surround with your peace those who are anxious,
and strengthen all who work to protect people, animals, and what has been built.
Lead us together as a community in care and compassion in time of need.
Bring your peace in the midst of fear.
We ask this in the name of the One who is our Compassion and our Hope,
Jesus Christ, risen and ascended.
