St Michael's Tuesday GroupTUESDAY MORNING COFFEE GROUP

Tiresome Tuesdays are no more!

The Tuesday morning coffee group meets every Tuesday from 10:30-11:30 AM.  We’re an eclectic bunch who discuss everything imaginable and indulge in semi-serious games and contests when not solving the problems of the world. We usually meet in the Tinker Room, but have also met outside in warm weather and on Zoom during the Covid pandemic.

Feel free to join us every week or just drop by whenever you have time. All are welcome.

CHILDREN’S GATHERING

On Sunday mornings during the 10am service, the children present will be invited to attend a Children’s Gathering led by our core group of leaders: Charlotte, Jane, Jennifer, and Shea. The group will return in time to share in Holy Communion.

Registration forms will be on hand for any parents/caregivers who would like to send their child — or, parents/caregivers are also welcome to stay and play, hear the Bible story, and colour together with their child.

St. Michael’s Cathedral observes the Safe Church policies of the Anglican Diocese of Kootenay, including maintaining up to date Police Information / Vulnerable Sector Checks for those in positions of leadership and trust relative to children and vulnerable adults.

CHRISTIAN MEDITATION GROUP

Wednesdays at 10:30am starting November 2, 2022.

The Christian Meditation group will reconvene for Fall 2022 starting Wednesday, November 2, meeting weekly in the Old Rectory Library from 10:30-11:30am.

The Christian Meditation group is coordinated by one of our Licensed Lay Ministers, Sylvia Rufli. The group gathers at 10:30am for a time of silent meditation, followed by a listening session from the teachings of John Main, OSB, and concludes a with a group discussion.

Visitors and new members always welcome!

The all-important aim in Christian meditation is to allow God’s mysterious and silent presence within us to become more and more not only a reality, but the reality which gives meaning, shape and purpose to everything we do, to everything we are…” ~ John Main, OSB
